About this size: 10–50 KB
When a form only gives a size limit and no pixel size, the best result comes from reducing quality and dimensions together. The tool first tries your original size at lower and lower JPG quality. Only when that is not enough does it scale the picture down, so you keep as many pixels as the 50 KB budget allows.
Everything runs in your browser, so your photo is never uploaded. The preset sets no fixed pixel size and the file size to 10–50 KB; you can change either in the options.
How to use it
- Drop your photo on the box, or click to choose a file. JPG, PNG, WebP and HEIC all work.
- The preset "Photo up to 50 KB" is already selected. Press "Use whole image", or move the frame to crop.
- Press Resize image. The tool finds the best quality that fits the file size.
- Check the preview and the size shown, then download the JPG and upload it to the form.
Features
- Exact size. Any shape you like, with the frame locked so nothing is stretched.
- Exact file size. 10–50 KB. Too big is shrunk step by step; too small is padded to meet the minimum.
- Private. Nothing is uploaded; the work happens on your device.
- All presets. Switch to any other form size, or use pixels, cm, mm, inches or percent.
Frequently asked questions
How do I get a photo from 2 MB down to 50 KB?
Open the photo here and press Resize. The tool compresses and, if needed, shrinks the picture by itself until it is under 50 KB. A phone photo of 2 MB usually ends up around 640 × 480 pixels, which is fine for most forms.
How do I get the photo under 50 KB?
Choose the image, keep this preset and press Resize image. The tool lowers the JPG quality in small steps, and scales the picture down only if it has to, until the file is below 50 KB. The result shows the final size.
Does 1 KB mean 1000 or 1024 bytes?
Websites count differently, so the tool aims at 1000 bytes per KB for the maximum, which passes either way, and 1024 for the minimum.
Is my photo uploaded to your server?
No. The image is resized in your browser and never leaves your device.
