Fancy Text Generator

Turn your words into bold, italic, script, gothic, bubble and other stylish text you can copy into bios, captions and names.

Runs in your browser

What is the Fancy Text Generator?

Instagram, WhatsApp, X, YouTube and game profiles do not let you change fonts, but they all accept Unicode characters. Unicode includes complete alphabets in bold, italic, script, gothic, double-struck, circled and other styles, originally for maths and symbols. This generator swaps each of your letters for its stylish twin, so the “font” travels wherever you paste it.

Type once and see your text in more than 25 styles, from clean sans-serif bold to upside-down text, with optional decorations around names. Click any style to copy it. A tip: screen readers can read these characters oddly, so keep important information (like contact details) in plain text.

    How to use it

    1. Type or paste your text in the box.
    2. Scroll the styles, or filter them by group.
    3. Optionally add a decoration around your text, such as ꧁ ꧂.
    4. Click a style to copy it, then paste it into your bio, caption or name.

    Frequently asked questions

    Are these real fonts?

No, they are Unicode characters that look like styled letters, which is why they work on apps that do not let you choose a font. They paste as normal text.

Why do some letters show as boxes?

Older phones or apps may not have every character. Bold, italic and script styles work almost everywhere; rarer styles such as squares may not show on older devices.

Can I use fancy text in my Instagram bio?

Yes. Copy a style and paste it into your bio, name or captions. Note that some fancy letters count as two characters, so your bio may fill up faster.

Is fancy text bad for accessibility or search?

Screen readers may read the characters as maths symbols or skip them, and search engines may not match them to normal words. Use it for decoration, and keep names, links and key information in plain text.
