What is the Case Converter?

Typed a heading with Caps Lock on, or need a sentence in Title Case for a blog post? The Case Converter rewrites your text in fourteen styles at once, so you can compare them and copy the one you need.

Developers can turn any phrase or identifier into camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, CONSTANT_CASE, kebab-case, dot.case or path/case. Existing identifiers are split correctly too: XMLHttpRequest becomes xml_http_request.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Title Case and Capitalized Case?

Title Case follows headline style: short words such as a, an, the, and, of and to stay lowercase unless they come first or last. Capitalized Case capitalises every word.

What is camelCase vs PascalCase?

Both join words without spaces and capitalise each word. camelCase starts with a lowercase letter (firstName) and is common for JavaScript and Java variables; PascalCase starts with a capital (FirstName) and is used for class names.

When should I use snake_case or kebab-case?

snake_case is common in Python, Ruby and database column names. kebab-case is used in URLs, CSS class names and file names. CONSTANT_CASE is used for constants and environment variables.

Does it work with Hindi or Gujarati?

Indian scripts have no upper and lower case, so they stay as they are, but programming cases still join the words with the right separators.
