What is the PDF to Image?
Sometimes a page needs to be a picture: to share on WhatsApp, put in a presentation, upload where only images are accepted, or post on social media. This tool turns each PDF page you choose into a high-quality image.
Pick a resolution from screen quality (96 DPI) to print quality (300 DPI). One page downloads as an image; several come together in a ZIP. Pages are rendered by the same engine Firefox uses to show PDFs.
How to use it
- Drop a PDF on the box, or click to choose one.
- Pick the pages to convert (all are selected to start with).
- Choose the image format and quality.
- Click Convert. One image downloads directly; several come in a ZIP.
Features
- JPG, PNG or WebP. JPG for photos and small files, PNG for sharp text, WebP for the web.
- Up to 300 DPI. Four quality levels from screen to print, or any DPI you type.
- Choose pages. Convert every page, a few, or only odd or even pages.
- ZIP download. Many pages download together, named by page number.
- Protected PDFs. Enter the password and convert as usual.
- Private. Pages are rendered in your browser; nothing is uploaded.
Frequently asked questions
Which format should I choose?
JPG gives the smallest files and is accepted everywhere. PNG keeps text perfectly sharp and is best for documents with fine lines. WebP is small and sharp but some older apps cannot open it.
What DPI do I need?
96–150 DPI is enough for screens, WhatsApp and slides. Use 220–300 DPI if you will print the image or need to zoom in on small text.
How big will the images be?
An A4 page at 150 DPI is about 1240 × 1754 pixels; at 300 DPI it is about 2480 × 3508 pixels.
Can I turn an image back into a PDF?
Yes, with Image to PDF.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Everything is done in your browser.
