What is the Offer Letter Generator?
An offer letter confirms a job offer in writing: the role, where and when the person starts, who they report to, what they will be paid and the main terms such as probation and notice period. A clear letter avoids misunderstandings and gives the candidate something to sign and return.
This generator writes the letter for you from a short form, in plain professional English, on a letterhead with your logo. Add the CTC and it can split it into Basic, HRA, special allowance and employer PF for a salary annexure, with monthly and annual amounts. It also handles internships (with a monthly stipend) and fixed-term contracts.
Your company details are shared with the other document tools and everything is saved only in this browser. Check the letter against your company policy and local employment law before sending it.

Frequently asked questions
What should an offer letter include?
The job title, team and location; the joining date and reporting manager; the salary (CTC) and how it is paid; probation and notice periods; working hours; any conditions such as background checks; and a deadline to accept. A salary break-up is usually attached as an annexure.
What is CTC?
Cost to company is everything the employer spends on you in a year: salary, allowances, the employer’s PF contribution and sometimes gratuity, insurance and bonuses. Take-home pay is lower, because employee PF, professional tax and income tax are deducted.
How is the CTC break-up worked out?
“Fill from CTC” uses a common structure: Basic at 40% of CTC, HRA at half of Basic, the employer’s PF at 12% of Basic up to ₹15,000 a month, and the rest as special allowance. Every company has its own structure, so edit the rows to match yours.
Is an offer letter the same as an appointment letter?
Not quite. The offer letter is sent before joining and confirms the offer. An appointment letter is usually issued on joining with fuller terms of employment. Many smaller companies use one detailed offer letter for both.
Is this letter legally binding?
A signed offer letter can be evidence of the agreed terms. This tool gives a sound general format, but it is not legal advice: check it against your company policies and the employment laws that apply to you.
