What is the Business Proposal Generator?

A business proposal explains to a client what problem you will solve, how, by when and for how much, and asks them to agree. A clear structure helps clients decide quickly: a short summary, a little about you, the objectives, your approach, the scope and deliverables, a timeline, the investment and the next steps.

This generator lays all of that out professionally. You write the content in plain text (start lines with a dash for bullet points), and it builds a cover page with your logo, numbered sections, a timeline table, a pricing table with tax and totals, and an acceptance block for both parties to sign.

Proposals are saved in this browser under My documents, so you can reuse a strong one as the starting point for the next client.

    How to use it

    1. Enter your company details and logo, and the client’s name.
    2. Give the proposal a title and date, and say who it is from.
    3. Write each section: summary, about you, objectives, approach, scope and deliverables. Use “- ” for bullets.
    4. Add the timeline phases and the priced items, with tax if needed.
    5. Add payment terms and next steps, pick a style, and download the PDF.

    Features

    • Cover page. Your logo, the proposal title, who it is for and from, and the date.
    • Numbered sections. Executive summary to deliverables, with names you can change.
    • Timeline table. Phases with timing and what happens in each.
    • Pricing with tax. Items, quantities and rates, with GST or another tax and the total in words.
    • Acceptance block. Signature lines for you and the client to approve the proposal.
    • Simple formatting. Plain text in, clean layout out: dashes become bullets, **double stars** make bold.

    Frequently asked questions

What should a business proposal include?

A short executive summary, a brief introduction to your company, the client’s objectives, your proposed approach, the scope of work and deliverables, a timeline, the price and payment terms, why you are the right choice, and how to accept.

How long should a proposal be?

As short as it can be while answering the client’s questions: often 3 to 6 pages for small and medium projects. Put the most important points in the executive summary, because many readers stop there.

How is a proposal different from a quotation?

A quotation is mainly a priced list. A proposal also makes the case: it explains the problem, your approach and why you, then includes the pricing. For simple orders, a quotation is enough.

How do I make bullet points and bold text?

Start a line with “- ” (dash and space) to make a bullet point, and leave a blank line between paragraphs. Wrap words in double stars, like **this**, to make them bold.
